Quiet plot 2 minutes from Charleville Mézières along the greenway

The setting

On the banks of the Meuse, I've laid out my grounds, the beautiful vegetation "still a little wild", and the birdsong will be there to accompany your rest.

The spots

the site is flat and easy to access, you first enter an area I call the parking lot, in the shade of very large cypress trees, ideal for vans or small camping cars, already very quiet and along the water, (fisherman friend, it's up to you, unless you find me in the water or on my paddleboard!)
The more you enter, the more light the land lets in, so give up your car and pitch your tent. The birds will welcome you, and the peace and quiet will be yours,

The sanitary facilities

a k'cabane (dry toilet) made from a simple chair, left to the discretion of a few bamboo curtains.
you'll need to come equipped, as the sanitary shower bus is still only in the planning stage.

an old caravan for shelter in case of Ardennes rains.

  • Thanks to Aurélie and her family for their warm welcome and advice. There's no electricity or drinking water on site, but they found us a solution for recharging our mobile phones and water bottles.

  • 2 good nights at Aurélie's place. We were made very welcome! Little facilities here and there, greenhouses, a large original bubble, an outdoor table and chairs, a camper van, a dry toilet shed, a 2-person solar shower... the company of chickens and squirrels. What's missing is a small drinking water point and a bigger curtain for the outhouse to make it a cozy little paradise :) Don't forget your flashlight and water bottle.
