Description

Open all year round. If you wish to stay with us during the Paris Olympic Games, please book on our other advert dedicated to this event.
Dry toilets and shower accessible H 24. They are located at the bottom of the garden to guarantee maximum independence.

The setting

Just 300 meters from the Fontainebleau forest, you can recharge your batteries before setting off again.
A 20-minute walk from the train station takes you to Gare de Lyon in 35 minutes.

The spots

The terrain is flat and offers plenty of shade. The soil is loose, making it easy to pitch your tent. The site is large and easy to access.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets and shower with instant electric water heater available 24 hours a day. Take an organic shower gel and shampoo, the water runs into the earth (thanks for the planet).

You'll meet other campers on the site during the summer, and share the communal sanitary facilities (shower and dry toilets).

The amenities

Tent rental (5 euros per night, decreasing price according to duration) for campers wishing to travel light :)

Fridge and microwave available.

It's possible to plug in to the electricity supply - we can provide you with an extension lead.
You'll be able to recharge your mobiles and tablets ad infinitum.

The activities

Bois-le-Roi is home to a pleasant leisure park with a lake and plenty of children's play equipment.
You can walk or cycle around the asphalt paths.
A Unesco World Heritage Site, the Château de Fontainebleau, a unique witness to almost eight centuries of French history, bears the mark of the greatest sovereigns, from Saint Louis to Napoleon Ill.
Near the château, in the heart of the "Ville Impériale", you can discover the Fontainebleau market, narrow streets with over 400 traders, a 17th-century church, famous coats of arms, charming hotels and many other wonders.
The capital of horses, Fontainebleau is also a dream destination for equestrian enthusiasts and outdoor events. As the patron town of the Garde Républicaine, Fontainebleau is deeply attached to its age-old tradition.
For over half a century, the Ecole Militaire d'Équitation (EME), one of the world's most prestigious institutions, has been showcasing its renowned facilities, including the magnificent Sénarmont riding school, and its traditional stables.
The Grand Parquet hosts events all year round, not only for horse lovers.
Last but not least, the Solle racecourse, one of the oldest in France, also welcomes visitors for races, in its green setting on the edge of the forest.
We are also partners of the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival, and would be delighted to welcome you on this occasion.

Other things

Special offer during the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival.

Rules

We ask you to respect nature and our grounds. Everything is at your disposal without restrictions, but must be used with care.

We have large garbage cans with selective sorting to be respected. Please see photos to help you sort correctly (I'll gladly do without sorting after you).

You will meet other campers on the site during the summer and share the communal sanitary facilities (shower and dry toilets).

There are also compost bins (take a good look at the photo above to see what you can put inside).

Smokers are asked to put out their cigarette butts with the utmost vigilance, and to dispose of them in a bag intended exclusively for this purpose.

As we live in a residential area, we ask you to respect the silence from around 10pm onwards, for everyone's peace and quiet.

We offer your children the chance to play on the trampoline, ping pong, pétanque, basketball etc...

We devote the whole of the second part of our grounds to you, from the outbuilding to the back of the field.

We're not closed to the idea of accepting you in our first part, but we appreciate it when you ask, for example, for the children to come and have fun on the trampoline or watch the fish in the pond.

Finally, we ask you to respect our privacy from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on our first section of land.

Extras

Tent ready

A brand-new XXL "2 secondes" tent is available for hire (5 euros per night, decreasing price over time: -1 euros / additional night).

An old "2 secondes" tent is available to help out if needed.

Please bring your own mattresses and sleeping bags.

  • We stayed at Fabien's place during Easter, and we had a wonderful time! Even though it rained during our stay, we were able to keep our things dry thanks to a sheltered place where we could store our things. Entering and leaving the place was uncomplicated, and everything (outdoor toilet and showers, recycling bins, electricity) is provided. We would happily recommend it!

  • Thank you for your warm welcome Fabien. I had a great time at your place, in a calm and pleasant environment with all amenities within easy reach.
    I recommend you!

  • We had a great stay with this super family.
Our children loved yours and the setting.
    We would do it again.

  • It was a great fit for me in my van! Nice, large garden with hot outdoor shower and toilet; it's simple but functional and Fabien continues to expand and make it nicer and nicer. A garbage can would have been good in this area.
There are a few chickens running around; idyllic - in summer when the weather is nice, benches and washing lines can be used.
The kitchen area was rather dirty (microwave) so I didn't use it but cooked in the van.
Good to know for van owners: the driveway is relatively narrow; with my Peugeot Boxer it was just about possible.
I can imagine coming back again. :)

  • We spent a weekend in February at Fabien's house, hiking in the Fontainebleau forest. Fabien gave us a very warm welcome and remained discreet during our stay, while checking in regularly, which was really nice!
The location is great: we're right on the edge of the forest, and we reached the Tour Denecourt to take the n2 trail. The place is very well maintained, as are the dry toilets.
    I highly recommend

  • Friendly welcome, calm and restful night

  • Fabien was very welcoming (even for last-minute editing).
The grounds and facilities are top notch.
    Nice place, nice stay

  • Fabien is a great host, attentive and available. The location of his garden is perfect, not far from the boulders and from the train station (20 minute walk). I will definitely come back soon!

  • Fabien was very available and accommodating, our stay with him was perfect.

  • I spent 3 weeks on business in a van in September with Fabien and Charlotte.
The description is true to life. Fabien and Charlotte take great care of their guests and their 2 children are adorable. What's more, all the shops you need are just a 5-minute walk away.
In short, it was a great 3 weeks.

  • Very convenient home stay, close to the station and the Forêt de Fontainebleau. Fabien's explanations were clear, the facilities met our expectations and we were able to enjoy the surroundings. Thank you for your confidence. I recommend!!!

  • Great stay at Fabien's place, very quiet. Fabien is very pleasant and available ????

  • Great welcome, we had an excellent stay. I highly recommend this address????

  • We had a good night's sleep in Fabien's garden. He's very nice. And he has a cute chicken.

  • Pleasant location in the Paris region.
Not too far from the Bois-le-Roi train station.
Large courtyard, plenty of space for campers; Fabien's welcome is good + he listens to campers. I'd recommend

  • Great place to stay! Fabien is a very friendly host, takes care of the campers. Hot shower was a luxury bonus at the camping. And there is an adorable pet hanging around at the camping - a chicken Brioche :) Lovely atmosphere and convenient location. Thank you very much, Fabien!

  • Perfect stay with Fabien, a welcoming and friendly host. The grounds are perfect and the amenities impeccable, thank you very much!

  • Had a wonderful stay at Fabien's campsite

  • Very pleasant grounds, very good welcome, happy to find a large shelter when I arrived in the rain!
Very quiet and lots of attention, everything perfect.

  • Excellent welcome, very available Fabien is very pleasant, very responsive to respond too, which is appreciable. We spent a pleasant night on his property. The toilet/shower area is great for the summer and we liked the coffee maker available in the morning. We can only recommend it.

  • Fabien's plqce is a great place to stay if you're heading to the forest. This location is well situated for visiting all of the forests climbing spot with the further away area only being a 25 min drive away.

Fabien was a great host and was very accommodating and informative.

Toilet and shower facilities were great.

    Highly recommended!

  • My son spent a month in this homecamp. A month he described as :
    Welcoming
    Calm,
    Pleasant
    Comfortable

  • For a quiet stopover, the sanitary facilities are perfect, with a dry toilet and a hot outdoor shower.
On our arrival Fabien guided us by phone as he was away this weekend. a large field where my dog could run in the company of 2 hens in the wild.

  • A perfect stopover on the way back from our vacation at Fabien's, despite the capricious weather.
We'll definitely be back for more activities in the area!
Thank you Fabien for your warm welcome!

  • Very welcoming host and nice place. Good place to explore the forest of fontainebleau.

  • This place is a haven of peace for me. For the amount of nature and the proximity of Paris, which I have to visit regularly.
Fabien and his family are an example of hard work, sympathy and kindness.
With all my heart, thank you.

  • A quiet night in the Paris region, that's the best.

  • Very warm welcome in the large garden, well-equipped, electric sockets, coffee maker, top-notch sanitary facilities.
1st experience of Home Camping, we loved it!
    Thanks for the warm welcome

  • Best energies to this large and beautiful family who manage this peaceful and rejuvenating place.
The environment is ideal for combining nature and quality of life, with the benefit of a forest and the beauty of this small village.

  • Fabien gave us a great welcome, the facilities (showers, WC, washbasin) are clean and very practical, and the garden is large and very pleasant. I'd recommend it!
    Thanks again!

  • Second time we've been to Fabien's: we're always so happy with our stay! It's great, thank you !!! See you next time!

  • Very friendly welcome and perfect pitch for a tent. We had an excellent night, and the owners are extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend ????

  • Thank you so much for your welcome Fabien. The farfadets will have great memories of their last camp before becoming Louveteaux et Jeannette! A great summer ahead.

The sanitary block is perfect, as is the provision of a fridge, the fire pitches are top-notch and thank you for welcoming us in the little shelter while we waited for the storm to pass.

  • Great stay! Fabien and his family are very welcoming. My friends and I stayed for 1 night. The setting/location is very pleasant. We discovered and appreciated the dry toilet. We made the most of the ping-pong table. All the comforts are there (water point and shower at the bottom of the garden, refrigerator, possibility of electricity). A real treat!

  • We spent 4 nights on the beautiful, quiet meadow behind Fabiens & Charlottes house. The two and their children are very nice. The outdoor shower is great, as is the environmentally conscious dry toilet.
The starting point is ideal for bouldering. The village very quiet with a great bakery and deli. We will be happy to come back!

  • Perfect place to stay in our camper van whilst travelling south.

  • Great experience at Fabien's. We were made very welcome by his partner and then by Fabien.
They are very attentive and make sure that everyone has the best possible stay.
My friends and I rented their XXL 3-person tent, which was clean and easy to pitch.
    I highly recommend this experience!

  • Very good experience with Fabien,
very good welcome, attentive, very well laid out garden for campers, it's friendly, you're autonomous, there's everything you need... You can go there with your eyes wide open... To be repeated...

  • We spent 2 lovely days at Fabien's campground. Fabien and his family are very friendly and welcoming.

  • We only stayed one night, but it's a shame we didn't stay longer.
Fabien is very welcoming and the site is perfectly suited to camping. Great facilities. We feel right at home. Peace and quiet guaranteed in green surroundings.
    We'll keep this address.

  • Fabien's campsite is a small island of peace and calm in a beautiful village. We have stayed here before, and will return again. His support and facilities are the best.

  • Very nice place to camp! The host (Fabien) is very welcoming.
    Very good value for money.
    I highly recommend it!
Thanks and see you next time!

  • Fabien made us feel very welcome. His garden is large and well located, in a quiet area close to the Fontainebleau forest. The place is well equipped (dry toilet, shower, sink, fridge).

  • Nothing to say!
The grounds are spacious and well-maintained, and the toilets and showers are clean and practical.
Fabien is a great host, attentive, accommodating and caring. We'll be back with great pleasure, thanks again!

  • Our camping & climbing trip to Fontainebleau was also our first experience with HomeCamper. Fabien was very quick with his communication and was very welcoming when we arrived. We got everything that we asked for and you could always talk to him when you needed something. The campsite was clean and spacious. You can choose where you want to set up camp. There were more campers there but there was enough space to have your privacy. The compost toilet was a plus because we love eco camping. We had a very nice stay with Fabien and his family! I would recommend this to every climber visiting fontainebleau because numerous climbing regions are within 15min reach by car.

  • Fabien and his camp were great! We enjoyed the space and good communication from the host. Great location with a good bakery and food options but also closeby bouldering. All our requests were well accommodated and good utilities such as bbq and table tennis.

  • Fabien and his family were very welcoming to us and our 4 dogs!
The site was flat enough to pitch our tent, perfect!
Separate shower with clean hot water ???? as well as dry toilets!
    Sink also available.
    Fridge in an outbuilding, top-notch.
All in all, equipment as advertised.
We highly recommend this host who will make you feel at ease.
    Thank you Fabien!

  • Excellent backyard for visiting the forest. The backyard is big enough for several groups of campers. Fabien communication was great.

  • Very good stay spent at Fabien's place. Everything is done to make you feel comfortable and many facilities are available.

  • Fabien is awesome and his place is ideal for climbers. He was an attentive and friendly host, the facilities are great (toilet, shower, fire pit, fridge, power and plenty more), and the location is ideal. We didn't have a car (although we had rented bikes), but some major sectors (Rocher Saint-Germain, Rocher Canon) are within walking distance, and many of the other crags are an easy cycle or drive away. Bois-le-Roi is a nice wee town with easily accessible shops, it's easy to get to from Paris but also easy to get into Font from there. Honestly couldn't recommend this spot highly enough and will definitely be coming back. Cheers Fabien !
