Description

Welcome to our micro-farm. We welcome you to our micro-farm. Our campsite is simple and warm, with all the facilities you need for a pleasant stay. (kitchenette, sheltered rest area, toilet and shower).
We'll be delighted to share our passion, our projects and our permaculture activity with you.
You'll discover the life of a small farm with its large vegetable garden, chickens, 2 ponds, and the originality of our Walipine greenhouse (semi-buried at a depth of nearly 2 meters).
We're located in a small hamlet with a population of 20.
All around, nature as far as the eye can see.
For essential amenities, we are 15 km from Le Caylar and its shops, or 20 minutes from Cornus.
An ideal "post-Corona" location, on the magnificent Larzac plateau, absolute peace and quiet, the magic of starry skies and numerous hikes from the house.
If you like peace and quiet, you've come to the right place!

Bring your own tent or rent our Tipi (2 or 3 people in real beds). We're at altitude (800 meters), so evenings are pleasant and nights cool ... a great luxury in the middle of summer and heatwaves.

The setting

We've been working (since March 2020) on our permaculture micro farm and are keen to share, pass on, inspire. With the help of Wwoofers, we are growing the farm and never stop imagining, setting up new projects, solutions to live in harmony with nature, its inhabitants, and face the challenges of the region: hot and dry in summer, cold and wet in winter. We look forward to sharing this place with you.

The spots

The pitches are located in a part of the field with an unobstructed view of nature. Easy access, little shade around the tents, but shaded relaxation areas are at your disposal, as well as a rearranged paddock for resting, playing, eating if too hot, too cold or raining.

Please note that motorhomes over 5m in length are not allowed in our fields. Maximum height 2.50m

The sanitary facilities

Two dry toilets are available at all times and cleaned daily.
An outdoor solar shower, with a breathtaking view over the plateau, for fine weather. In cooler weather, the in-house shower is at your disposal.

The amenities

We provide an outdoor kitchen (maintenance is the responsibility of the users....).
Cook in the great outdoors with equipment provided free of charge (gas, fridge, crockery, pots and pans, basic elements / salt, pepper....).
Possibility of using electricity (portable recharger) in the Pailler.
Possibility of having electricity in the tent via an extension cord
No internet but good 4 G connection.
Possible for electro-sensitive people as very well protected from waves, even if good reception.

The activities

Wonderful walks can be made directly from the house. Others, further afield, will enable you to discover the Larzac region, its Templar villages and local produce... Documentation and itineraries are available.
Horse-riding, rock-climbing, vélo-rail, a reptilarium and a wildlife park are all nearby, and Micropolis is less than an hour away.

Other things

It's a true haven of peace and rejuvenation. (Our campers and visitors say so) Ideal for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of city life and connecting with the energies of nature.
We welcome you to our table for dinner, breakfast and picnic hikes.
We also sell produce from our vegetable garden.

We'll be delighted to chat with you during our morning break (10:30 a.m.) around the pond. We look forward to meeting you...
We also sell produce from our garden, and eggs from our hens...

Rules

Basic rules for the well-being of all :

- Quiet after 10pm for the comfort of any other campers

- Use of natural products for washing up and toiletry (bring your own care products, or take advantage of our homemade products).

- Respect for fauna, flora and all life on site.

and.... invitation to disconnect and enjoy this magical environment :-)

Our wish? That you have a great time!

Extras

Tent ready

We rent a large 2 or 3-seater Tipi tent (with electricity and mattress).

  • Great change of scenery at Yann's where, despite an unforeseen event and rainy weather, I had a great stay.
A wonderful discovery of a home-cooked meal and breakfast with vegetables grown by Yann and Virginie, as well as good exchanges on a thoughtful culture that is so necessary these days.
Thank you for hosting me for a night with my 4x4 and my dog Summer.

  • Elisa and I had a very pleasant stay at Yann's!
We're delighted to have had the chance to discover such a magical place!

  • Exceptional, peaceful setting. Warm welcome, our hosts willingly sharing their advice on vegetable gardening, cooking and so on. We left feeling rested and with lots of tips and seeds.

  • Second stay, we loved it the first time... so we came back again. Beautiful place to rest and reconnect with nature. We feel very comfortable here. Yann is very welcoming and offers excellent vegetables from the garden. Go there with your eyes closed. Many thanks again.

  • Thank you Yann for your warm welcome and availability in all circumstances.

  • There are moments of grace in life, which leave an indelible mark on your memory... our stay at Yann's is now firmly ensconced there!
After an excellent welcome, we were able to take advantage of all the amenities Yann has built in to ensure that his visitors are in the best of dispositions. After setting up our dining room in an idyllic natural setting and passing through a solar shower, we were able to settle in and enjoy the grandiose spectacle: sunset over the Larzac and an exceptional panorama of the starry sky, endlessly starry for our greatest pleasure.
Thank you Yann for a memorable stay and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

  • Nature, calm, a perfect welcome and good advice, it was a pleasure to pitch my tent with Yann.

  • Thank you yann for this short stay in the heart of nature. We'll be back next time.

  • We spent a night in the tepee tent. Our two-and-a-half-year-old was ecstatic. The chickens visited us in the morning and we were given a tour of the vegetable garden and greenhouse. Very informative. We recommend it with our eyes closed. Thank you Yann for your warm welcome.

  • A nice surprise, a great time, with common interests and a very human dynamic of project and welcome.
    Thanks to all 2
    Enola and Jean Pierre.

  • Unfortunately, there wasn't much time to chat and discover their magnificent conception of life.
A quiet place, ideal for star gazing.
Thanks again for the warm welcome

  • Super host, welcoming!
He took the time to show us around his garden!
    I recommend it.
(Beware, however, of the car, which is a little low, and touches a little on arrival ????. )
    Otherwise great quiet place!
I really liked the view from the shower.
    Génial !
    Great breakfast.

  • Beautiful, magical place. Very pleasant and friendly people. Yann's well-being is assured. Thank you very much

  • An ideal place to get away from it all. Yann and Virginie's sincere, no-nonsense welcome and generosity. A meal around a convivial table and a quality meal. Perfectly equipped and well thought-out

  • End of our itinerant stay on the GR71C at the Petit Pailler. Yann and his family welcomed us generously and did everything possible for our comfort on this rainy day. The meal and breakfast were delicious. We strongly recommend this stage (note: the farm is located halfway between Cornus and Covertoirade).

  • Frankly my stay at Paillou was a beautiful adventure! I totally admire your questioning in order to live differently, you are an example but you need a huge courage in your commitment because there is a lot to do! How much I appreciated the night in your beautiful "barn" so well arranged! As for the dinner, a big bravo to Yann for the succulent curry that amazed my taste buds, as well as all the other "home-made" dishes ....., it was perfect, unusual and totally exotic, thank you to both of you for this beautiful meeting and very good continuation .....

  • A nice place, a haven of peace!
Everything you need is here, plus the peace and quiet.

In the absence of Yann, a perfect welcome by Gaëlle.

  • Thank you for the welcome in this beautiful haven of peace ☺️

  • A rare and beautiful place, full of meaning and good sense. Yann and Virginie shape with passion this permaculture micro farm where climatic variations are complex, in order to transmit their knowledge so that this type of initiative develops and encourages a local and reasoned production and consumption.
It is with great care and concern for simple and basic comfort that they welcome campers in search of nature and sharing. Many services are available in the respect of the place and the people who live there. A precious address that I keep in my favorites.

  • As hikers, we had a wonderful time at Yann and Virginie's house during our stage of the GR 71C. The hiking trail passes right by their house. As we were walking light, we were able to sleep in the teepee, and they offered us a wonderful dinner in the evening, then breakfast and picnic to take with us for the walk. Everything was delicious, with products from their home or the surroundings. The welcome was warm. Their small farm and the layout of the place makes us dream and proves that another world is possible! Thanks to both of them

  • Super stay, the sunset is magnificent, as the starry night! There is all the comfort! And traveling alone I felt safe at Yann's place. Thank you

  • Great location, very welcoming, we felt particularly well! and what a sunset!

    everything is great !

  • A little corner of paradise to recharge your batteries
Everything is done to make you feel good
Yann and his wife have created a paradise with furniture and clever installations with a lot of recycling

  • Ideal!

  • Only one night spent on Yann's land was enough for us to want to come back! A very nice place !

  • A beautiful night in a very comfortable teepee and a great visit of the vegetable garden in the morning, we can't dream better as a stopover, we are fulfilled! We will come back for sure!

  • Excellent welcome, beautiful site, very friendly host!

  • Yann's accommodation offers a superb view of the neighboring valleys! Lovers of nature and wide open spaces, you will be fulfilled. Yann welcomes you warmly and is concerned about your well-being so that your stay is as pleasant as possible.
A kitchenette with a gas table, drinking water and a small house where you will find something to read, rest in a cool place for the hot days and dry for the rainy days.
Breakfast (5€) and dinner (13€) are offered. This is the only disappointing point concerning us.
Lovers of culinary conviviality, we expected local specialties such as local charcuterie, cheese platter etc... We were surprised by the vegetarian meals. The price is not up to the level of the proposed meals.
On the positive side, the vegetables are fresh. Freshly picked from the garden of Yann and Virginie.
You can also enjoy fresh eggs from their hens!
If you come with baby, pureed vegetables from the garden can be prepared for you! Our 11 month old son enjoyed them very much.
We would also like to thank Marina and Philippe (woofers present during our stay) 2 beautiful people remarkable by their humanity, their work and their benevolence.
    Good road to all !
    Élodie and Yoric

  • Very good welcome and a very good stay. Very available if needed. To be recommended

  • Thank you very much yann for your welcome and your generosity and for this beautiful Permaculture mandala garden. Beautiful suite ????

  • A very nice welcome. Yann is very accommodating and does not hesitate to offer his shower when the solar shower is no longer available. A magnificent view...Very good stay...only one drawback, very clean dry toilets but not emptied in a very regular way and the kitchen at disposal not very clean...

  • A very nice meeting with Virginie and Yann. We were looking for calm, wide open spaces and nature. We were fulfilled.
It was a return to the essential.
We will come back without hesitation...

  • A great welcome, full of kindness. Very attentive to our well-being! Super magical experience. A real rest in full connection with nature. Yann and Virginie are adorable! I really recommend it!

  • Superb moment! Very smiling, you are superb! Ideal context to recharge your batteries. It was a special moment with my big boy. We kiss you and see you soon ????????????????❤

  • Already shared because of extended stay
    Top top top!!!

  • A perfect plot of land, isolated from everything with beautiful walks to do around. Picturesque village where the inhabitants do not hesitate to come and meet you.

  • A stay in the middle of nature that we recommend. We wish Yann and his companion all the best in their adventure.

  • Magnificent place, magnificent welcome. Simple energy to the rhythm of the earth....!

  • The place is superb and unique as well as the people who are there. Yann and Virginie are among those rare people who work tirelessly for the good of all without asking for anything.
So thank you a thousand times and see you soon.
    Cecile and Mo

  • Magnificent stage of our vacations. We loved the discovery of Yann and Virginie's little corner of paradise and would have gladly extended our stay by a few days. Their welcome was very warm and we took advantage of Yann's advice to discover the area! Thank you again to both of them. Everything is perfect.

  • How time flies in real life, already 10 days that we left the little paradise of Yann!
An exotic place, quiet, where everything is thought out in harmony with nature. The 5 stars of the homecamper.
Very welcoming and attentive people. A stay much too short!
A place of disconnection where you can reconnect with nature.

  • Sublime setting, Yann is very accommodating and welcoming, I recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay

  • Yann and Virginie are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. It's a nice meeting!
The big tent, the outdoor spaces and the facilities for the campers (outdoor kitchen, solar shower, dry toilets) are very very comfortable.
We had a perfect week visiting the surroundings and spending time with them.

  • Yann and Virginie were very friendly, and so welcoming. We got stuck in traffic and arrived late and they were so sweet about it. Very accommodating. The kids love it and everything was fab.

  • A step that we would have liked to prolong to continue to benefit from this calm and resourcing place. Yann has created a unique and original place in an incredible natural setting. Thank you Yann !

  • Beautiful place, both peaceful and full of the life of the people who live there.
    Generous and smiling welcome.
A magnificent, ingenious and musical vegetable garden.
We loved the time we spent there.

  • Great stay ! Yann and Virginie are very welcoming, and very nice!
Everything was very transparent and simple. The setting is very pleasant.
    At the top!

  • Thank you very much to Yann and Virginie for their welcome and their generosity! The setting is magnificent, with a beautiful tranquility...
The nature is immediately accessible all around.
I have been well recharged in this place... I hope to come back soon !
    Long live Larzac !

Generous and attentive to the smooth running of our stay.
