Description

If you wish, we can act as your guide.

The setting

Various benches, tables and other rest areas, especially in the park, invite you to take a stroll.

Enjoy the magnificent view and meet a few stray animals.

Whether they're pets like dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks and a donkey, small wild animals, birds or our only neighbors, the Charolais, each of them will stare at you with curiosity.

Here, you'll find plenty of nature, peace and relaxation, and if you want, direct contact with the locals.

The spots

For campervans, we have electricity and drinking water.

A sewage collection point is about 10 minutes away and very easy to reach.

The sanitary facilities

A corner of the outbuilding contains a toilet, a shower, a relaxation room and temporary accommodation in case of bad weather.

The amenities

On request, we can serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and cake or take-away picnics.

The activities

There are many hiking and biking trails in the area.
Activities such as swimming, fishing, kayaking, boat trips, covered wagon rides, go-karting, etc. are also possible.

Not far away are amusement parks, zoos, thermal baths, castles, archaeological sites (e.g. Bibracte), places of pilgrimage (Paray- le-Monial, Cluny), museums, cultural institutions, restaurants, stores, etc.

Excursions to Lyon (approx. 1 ¾ h), Château de Guédelon (approx. 2 ¼ h), lace de Genève (approx. 2 ½ h), Vézelay (approx. 2 h) or the Burgundy wine region (approx. 1 h) are possible. Even Paris is only 4 hours away.

Other things

If you wish, we can act as your guide.

Rules

Please no smoking in the buildings, no excessive partying and treat our animals, ourselves, our property, nature and surroundings with kindness.

Please include your phone number once the reservation request has been made.

Please respect your fellow campers, especially at rest times!

Unfortunately, as we have had some very bad experiences, we can no longer accept dogs. Of course, we know that not all dogs are the same, and we think it's a shame not to allow dogs to visit. But dog visits have cost the lives of some of our animals and injured others...

  • Very nice stay. I felt very comfortable. Interesting stories about the area and the history of a part of the country I had never heard of before. I'll definitely be back when it's warmer.

  • Widespread location embedded in the area and plenty of animals walking around and interesting to watch.

  • Sometimes you can see the peacock going to bed, and that alone justifies a stay here. But it's with many other wonderful memories that we leave, after a few nights camping next to these beautiful trees. We recommend a trip to Issy l'évêque!
And the welcome was particularly pleasant. Thank you so much!

  • Great place. Christine is very welcoming and pleasant. We had at our disposal the bathroom, the kitchen and a common room to shelter us in case of bad weather. We appreciated the presence of the animals that roamed the park. We recommend this place.

  • Very nice and quiet place. Thank you

  • Christine is a loving and warm hostess. We felt super comfortable and can recommend the pitch 100%! We have enjoyed our stay very much! We were not aware that there are so many different breeds of chickens to admire every day! + a communicating donkey :-) and two faithful sheepdogs. Dear Christine, thank you for the wonderful stay!

  • Nice place to visit and kind family.

  • With excitement we drove to the site. We were greeted by Christine who opened the gate to amazement for us. We first parked our bus at the residence. From here Christine showed us everything, introduced us to some of the many free-range chickens, two very dear shepherd dogs that were individually introduced to our little dog.

Since at this time there was a bit of a diesel shortage and besides us there was another bus with little diesel in the tank on site, Christine and Gérard took care of information about the diesel supply at the gas stations to be reached for us.

The property has something enchanting, a place for nature and animal lovers who do not feel disturbed when the donkey makes itself loudly noticeable, the chickens talk and curiously eye the events around the new arrivals. I was allowed to take a fuzzy chicken in my arms - the first time for me - it was very soft and tender to touch. There is always something to discover. A white peacock, quaint and fascinating chicken breeds, cuddly cats.

Christine and Gérard are very kind, helpful people and hosts, who also sometimes invite you to chat with a glass of wine - or even more - on their own terrace.

On our trip to Galicia we met two people we like to think of. Thank you for everything.

  • A little Noah's Ark with amazing breeds of chickens, peacocks, a nice donkey, two adorable dogs etc.
But above all, very welcoming and accessible hosts.
A small drawback with the road a little close but fortunately not very frequented.

  • A serene moment with friendly hosts in a beautiful environment!

  • 2 very nice nights at Christine and Gerard's place.
In addition to the very pleasant, calm setting, the very clean bathrooms, Christine and Gerard are particularly welcoming. Thank you for this wonderful evening!

  • Lovely and calm place, really nice and welcoming hosts who were always happy to help. Lots of friendly chicken,
roaming happily around (in a non-intrusive way). Will definitely come back.

  • Great experience. We were very well received and the setting is just great. Being surrounded by all these animals is also really great. We would have liked to stay longer if we had the time. We'll be back for sure!
    Thanks to all of you!

  • A place at the top! In the middle of the farm with the hens in the morning who walk freely, it's really exotic...

Thank you for the more than adorable welcome

  • Picturesque and surprising address. Very nice welcome from Christine

  • A magnificent camping place, very friendly hosts who made us discover and appreciate the region, its hills, its canals, its cities and markets.
We also enjoyed the atmosphere of the courtyard, the company of the two dogs and cat and also our two faithful friends, the roosters Laurel and Hardy.
    .

  • Very good welcome after having searched a little, the GPS not knowing the official address.
At Christine's house you will be surrounded by furry and feathered animals.
In the evening we had a mulled wine around a brasserade in view of the season.
    Very pleasant stay.

  • Very good welcome and very nice site but the place next to the little house where the shower is is also the chicken coop and so at 4:00 am the party started without interruption ... The nature.

  • Wonderful hosts.
    Thank you

  • We felt very comfortable with Christine and Gerard. If you love animals, this is the perfect place to decelerate.

  • Christine welcomed us with her warm and welcoming nature and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you and see you soon :)

  • Welcome by all the hosts (Christine, Gerard and the dogs, the chickens, the peacocks and even the donkey, visibly happy to see us) as soon as we arrived. Quick visit of the place then choice of the location. We chose the farthest from the road, facing the garden, we were very well! It is close to the road but there is little traffic, so it is not disturbing. There is room for several people, in tent or van/camper. Everything is designed to accommodate everyone, Gerard sees to that ;)
Christine and Gerard are very present and give good advice to visit the surroundings. I recommend the Temple de la Boulaye that we would not have done if Christine had not promoted it. Thanks ;)
Very nice aperitif with the hosts and a couple of Swiss tourists. French, English and German were all 3 of the part. It was a good evening.
I highly recommend these places for a good sharing experience.
A first "HomeCamper" experience in the hair ... and in feathers!

  • Superbe!
    Merci and see you soon!

  • Very nice meeting with Christine and Gerard, who are people of a rare kindness and generosity.
Thanks again and see you soon!

  • Although our stay was for only 1 night it was nonetheless a highlight of our trip! Christine was a wonderful host and cook and the dinner we shared with her and Gèrard out in the garden was just delicious, as was breakfast. Our children loved spending time with the animals and Lemmy and Luna are two of the most beautiful natured dogs we have ever encountered. We highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the quiet countryside with its rolling hills in a beautiful corner of France. We look forward to our next visit.

  • Our stay was exceeding our expectations. Christine is an extremely welcoming host and very engaged in providing advice and good ideas for excursions. I can only recommend her.
The site is very beautiful with its view of the landscape. You just need to get along well with animals.
The facilities are simple, in an old unused house, but kept very clean by Christine.

  • We got outstandingly welcomed by the host and the place is just amazing, in every aspect! Thanks a lot for all!

  • When we arrived, we knew it immediately: what a beautiful place, a hidden paradise! A gem surrounded by stunning views on the hilly landscape. Gerard and Christine make you feel at home immediately! We spend 2 nights in the garden, peaceful & quiet with now and thema a visit from the animals! Cats, dogs, chicken and peacocks! Wonderful place!

  • Simply great, Christine and Gerard are great and we exchanged on many subjects, not to mention all these animals as nice as each other, hope to see you again!

  • Between Saintes and Switzerland to finally find my little girls we decided to make a stopover thanks to the excellent reviews on homecampeur . What a welcome, what human warmth, we spent an evening meeting them and we want to meet them again this fall. Christine Gérard and her arch of Noah

  • Thank you Christine and Gerard! You are with the small care for your hosts, the house meal was succulent! Breakfast more than varied!
We spent excellent moments in your company,
We will not hesitate to visit you if we are in the area,
    Place to recommend!

  • Christine and Gerard's domain is our first step in our new life as motorhome owners. The good surprise is beyond our expectations. We were remarkably welcomed by homecampers full of warmth and humanism. Our "first time" will be eternally marked by this address that we recommend to all lovers of calm, authenticity and human warmth. Congratulations to Christine and Gérard

  • Thank you, everything is fine. Cozy and friendly.

  • Absolutely fantastic evening of experience sharing, total conviviality, sharing of life with the animals, each one more funny and interesting than the other (thanks to Lemy, loona, the peacocks, the chickens and the donkey etc...) Christine and Gerard are very kind hosts! Christine knew how to surprise us by preparing a typically delicious meal! We will come back! Friendships!

  • Very very nice welcome! Christine and Gérard were perfect symphatic hosts.
The grounds are great and all the animal housemates are great too. Especially Luna and Lemmy and the Peacocks!

  • A huge thank you, we loved this time spent at your place and your welcome. Being in the middle of nature with free animals is great. It's sure that Luna and Lemy are imposing (the dogs) but adorable and more approachable day by day. Again thank you for this beautiful parenthesis in our lives. Méryl & Family

  • The hospitallity of Christine and Gerad was really outstanding. We had an very nice and peaceful stay at their place. Not to forget the delicious dinner.
