  • Disappointing experience, we expect something other than sleep merchants
(lawn not mowed, in the rain it's not cool, bathroom barely clean, no space to take shelter, a laundry abandoned...
    Move on!

  • A great time at Marcelle's, a wonderful meeting.

  • Friendly, smiling person -

    Restful, pastoral setting.

  • Passing through on the GR34, I spent a night in Marcelle's garden. A very welcoming person, her garden has a sink, toilet and hot shower (a blessing in February). Thanks for everything!

  • Very practical site, with all the necessary amenities, even when it rains, as it did for us. Marcelle is very welcoming. We recommend her.

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Marcelle during my visit to Cancale on the GR 34 route.
Marcelle is very warm, smiling and open, despite the COVID who had decided to visit her.
I hope Marcelle is slowly recovering ????
    I recommend

  • Extremely warm welcome from our host. Peaceful countryside location close to everything. Ideally located (sea/hiking). Hot shower and simple but clean sanitary facilities, exactly what we were looking for. We particularly recommend it. At the top! Thank you Marcelle for your kind words and we look forward to returning for the Gr 34!

  • I loved my bivouac at Marcelle's.
Bathroom. Shower. Electricity - everything you need in a bucolic setting. Marcelle is a very friendly and pleasant person.
    I highly recommend her.

  • Incredibly warm welcome and cozy garden!

  • Marcelle is friendly and welcoming. It is very well located and we had a very good stay.

  • Ideally located, Marcelle is very friendly, funny and attentive.
    Great encounters with other travelers.
Rustic sanitary facilities, but sufficient for the purpose.

  • The place is pleasant at first glance. However, there is room for improvement in certain areas, such as the toilets and shower, which are functional but outdated. The laundry room is used to fetch water for washing up (not really practical to access the taps of the large sink (washbasin) depending on its size!
A sheltered drying rack lets you dry your clothes (it's a shame the shelter doesn't extend over the toilet and shower (especially when it rains). It's nice to have chickens in the garden, except for their droppings! Marcelle welcomed us on the first day, then stopped communicating. Is it because I took the liberty of making a few suggestions to improve the layout of the laundry room, such as having a mirror (which was later put in), providing easier access to the sink, shelves to put your toiletries on (especially when there are several campers, including families with children)?
It's a shame, because there's a lot of potential here, and we could do with a little tidying up to make the place more user-friendly.
As someone who has been camping in tents since I was a child (on the farm, in the town, abroad), I enjoyed the surrounding area and took some lovely walks in Cancale, on the maritime trail and took the bus (line 9) to St Malo (information kindly given by Marcelle on our arrival).

  • As last time, everything was perfect. I highly recommend it!

  • Thank you for everything Marcelle, you are very welcoming, your shower is extra. See you soon.

  • The best Homecamper we've made so far!

  • Thank you again for your warm welcome and kindness. Your region is magnificent and our vacation was a real break from our busy daily lives.

  • We stayed for 1 week and 1 extra day because we didn't want to leave again. We were made very welcome and the location is perfect. We were able to discover Saint Malo, Cancale and Mont Saint Michel by bus and on foot! Discovered a good portion of the GR 34, which is just magnificent. We also enjoyed the Picain harbor, a 10-15 minute walk away. For our first home-camping experience, we were not disappointed. The quality/ratio was very good. You can also meet other homecampers during your stay, which makes for a convivial atmosphere.
Electricity is available, but you may be a long way from a connection, even if Marcelle is organized and provides extension cords: in our case, there were a lot of us (in August), so we made arrangements with other campers to share our reel, and all went well.

  • I am glad to recommend this camping place....ok it s not a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ hotel, but you get what you pay. The landlord whre really friendly, so I felt very well there, very satisfied. In the end I would say, nothing was wrong...

  • Marcelle is very welcoming, and it was a pleasure to share a piece of the road with her! She'll be delighted to welcome you! All amenities.

  • Thank you Marcelle, superb place in which I spent a great weekend...

  • Very good welcome, suitable terrain and convenient independent access to sanitary facilities.

  • We spent almost a week in Marcelle's garden, and every day was a pleasure.
Ideally located in Cancale, plenty of room on the plot, perfect toilet/shower facilities and a thoughtful, adorable host. We loved it and will return without hesitation.

  • We stayed with Marcelle for 3 nights. We were in a quiet place and her garden is quite spacious.
Thanks to her and her family for their warm welcome.

  • We had a nice stay, but found that there were almost too many people on this terrain. In addition, the sanitary facilities were not very clean. But positive was that we could wash and hang our clothes.

  • A very warm welcome!

  • Very nice experience at Marcelle's. Very kind and welcoming, we'll definitely be back.

  • I had a very relaxing few days and I'd like to thank Marcelle for her welcome.

  • We had a very good night, thank you for your welcome.

  • I came, slept and left. I didn't see Marcelle.
It was her son, who lives on the premises, who welcomed me and showed me where the bathroom was, and that was that.

  • Marcelle est adorable. Elle aime accueillir , recevoir et partager.nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Les toilettes et la douche sont propres et entretenues.
    Nous recommandons vivement.
    Isabelle et Laurent.

  • Marcelle gave us a very warm welcome, with washroom facilities available. I highly recommend it!

  • Very good location. Well-equipped, shower and toilet facilities separate from the house.

  • Very warm welcome from Marcelle!
A pleasant woman who loves to entertain.

  • Marcelle is a kind and welcoming lady
The location is good for getting around, sightseeing and the beach.
    And I highly recommend you.
I will be back for the next visit to Cancale.

  • Marcelle and her family are very nice! We had a great time at her place. Thank you Marcelle!

  • Everything was perfect, nothing to complain about. The land is exactly as described in the ad. Marcelle is very friendly

  • A first experience at Marcelle's who welcomed us with a smile despite our late arrival.
The grounds are very nice, the sanitary facilities are clean and the shower is pleasant.
We unintentionally settled right next to the rooster's enclosure, and he didn't spare us ^^.

I recommend your stay with Marcelle!

  • Marcelle's warm welcome and pleasant grounds

  • Very friendly welcome, Marcelle didn't hesitate to share her good tips, the site is well located. Sanitary facilities could do with a refresh. Despite the rain, we found Cancale magnificent. To be repeated with the sun.

  • 1st experience with HomeCampeur, we really liked it. Our trip was by bike and we enjoyed the quietness of the garden, for rest it's perfect, the place is simple but has everything you need. Marcelle is very pleasant and attentive. Her son was on hand to show us a safe cycling route out of Cancale. Charming, welcoming people, a great HomeCampeur discovery.

  • Everything was perfect.

  • We had a very pleasant stay, thank you for your welcome.

  • Marcelle is very friendly and her garden is perfect for all GR34 hikers!

  • Marcelle is an extraordinary, kind woman who knows the region very well. We loved our stay with her, with the chickens and with her daughter Martine, both of whom were very nice to us... many thanks! My son Valentin was very happy!

  • Thank you so much Marcelle for your warm welcome!

  • We spent just one night with Marcelle on our first HomeCamper experience, and it was simply brilliant! From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us warmly with a big smile, and communication was fluid throughout our stay. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute drive from the beach, but also within easy walking distance. I highly recommend Marcelle for her hospitality and wonderful location!

  • Marcelle's warm welcome on her quiet plot. Conveniently located just 2km from Port Mer and Pointe du Grouin.

  • Marcelle and her family are very welcoming and have a rather large garden. After a hard day's hiking, we spent a very good night in the peace and quiet, took a hot shower and enjoyed the surroundings. The next day, our hosts accompanied us to the bakery to get us back on track. Perfect! Bonus? Marcelle's garden is ideally located just a few hundred meters from the GR34, and Port Picain is a wonderful spot to relax for a few hours.

  • Marcelle is a friendly and welcoming person.

  • Marcelle is very friendly!
