Description

Camp on a small plot of land planted with trees, where you can pitch a tent to help out on the Loire bike tour or elsewhere, in complete autonomy and peace and quiet.
You only need to reserve a pitch; the site is entirely reserved for you (shower, sanitary facilities, garden furniture, etc.).

The setting

The land is located at my home, the setting is an old farm with stables, barn ...
The plot is located 5 km from the Saint Pierre des Corps train station, on the edge of town and country, with all the advantages and disadvantages that entails: road noise in the distance, trains, birds, crickets...
It's also located between the Loire and Cher rivers, with cycle paths running alongside the Cher and Loire.

The spots

Mainly intended for cyclists wishing to make a stopover, the site is surrounded by shrubs, with a view over the Cher valley (and its TGV bridge...).
Flat terrain, accessible by bike or on foot. For cars, parking is in my yard, so equipment has to be brought up the stairs (see photo).
Possibility of lending things and repairing and sheltering your bike...
Possibility of putting up 2 tents (2 places and 3/4 places)

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets, sink with drinking water point.

The amenities

The spirit is to be of service :)
the site has a solar shower as well as photovoltaic convenience electricity (to charge your cell phone, light) so the shower can be cool and the electricity more or less fluctuating, even if the battery capacity will at least allow you to charge your phones.
For a more powerful "nuclear" connection, a supplement of 5 euros will be charged (e.g. for charging electric bikes, fridges, etc.). We can lend you triplets and extension leads if you need them.
Refrigeration is available if you stay more than one night (small fridge of about 40 liters), with a supplement of 4 euros. A rudimentary 2-person tent is available for 2 euros (it's usually set up); a gas stove is also available for 2 euros (some crockery is available in a trunk).
For the rest, ask me, there are some free things available!

The activities

Located in the heart of the Touraine region, Tours is accessible by bike, and there are many castles (Amboise, Tours..., La Loire...), as well as restaurants.
You can also go canoeing nearby, or fishing...

Other things

Shopping center (LECLERC..) 2 km away. Montlouis town center 4 km.

Rules

The rules in force are those of common sense and respect for nature (site in refuge LPO).
No fires, no cigarette butts (garbage can available);
no arrivals after 8pm. You can access the site if I'm not there, subject to a few explanations (if, for example, you want to put down some equipment during the day to go for a lighter walk).
Compost bin on site;
the site is completely autonomous.
Whispering after 10pm out of respect for neighbors.
Respect for local flora and fauna (hedgehogs, birds, bats).
