Description

Feet in the water, head in the stars!
You'll fall asleep to the melodious sound of the Couarde River, and can even cool off in the shade of walnut and alder trees.
You'll share this privileged setting with just one or two other visitors.
Just 1km from the medieval château in the village of Sarzay and 6km from all the sights of Sandiens, everything is accessible by bike, and bicycles are generously provided.
You're also on the direct route to the Camino de Compostela via Vézelay, and there are many wonderful walks to enjoy during your stay!

The setting

You'll immediately feel disconnected, thanks to the authentic look of an 18th-century country estate.
You'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you rediscover the typical south Boischaut barn, still in its original state.
You'll be greeted by the gentle song of the turtle-doves and the cuddles of the long-haired tomcat.
You'll feel protected by the affectionate little doggie throughout your stay.
All will guide you to the wildest, most peaceful and quiet corner of the property's half-hectare.
You'll be able to feast on nefles, curé pears and belles filles de l'Indre apples, and lay down your towel under the fruit trees of this small family orchard!
The stars alone will light up your nights so that you can catch a glimpse of the river and sometimes the beautiful cream-colored vaches on the other side of La Couarde. They are part of the scenery made up of bocage and country hedges.

The spots

You'll settle in along the river, in the shade of the fruit trees of an authentic orchard.
Among the plum and cherry trees, you'll discover forgotten objects from the early 20th century, such as old-fashioned washing machines and basins, as well as an outdoor shower and bathtub.
A single person and/or a person with a child will feel surrounded, confident and secure day and night, and you won't need to bury your safe!

The sanitary facilities

Naturally ecological sanitaryware!
You'll feel at one with nature, as the sun heats up your shower water in the trees... And you'll be able to admire the setting sun as you shower, overlooking La Couarde.
The ancestor of the washing machine will serve as your sink.

The amenities

Back to basics!
The experience you're about to have is a challenge to yourself! And you'll discover that it's possible to live well 'quite simply'!
You'll feel better, and be proud to be doing something for the planet by using the kettle from your childhood, or the pots and pans and crockery that will bring back memories of your vacations of yesteryear!
Salt, pepper and...natural sugar: everything you need is on site.
Internet connection sharing possible if you only want to disconnect partially.

The activities

Culture, swimming and fishing, hiking and biking!
That's right! You're in the middle of writer George Sand's romance circuit!
The nearest one of her sites is in the village of Sarzay (medieval castle), and you can hike part of the Chemin de Compostelle to get there. All the other Sandian sites are just 6km away.
So you can discover the Angibault mill or the Mare au diable by bike!
You can also discover the small river creus: a paradise for swimmers and fishermen, and there are many in the vicinity (the owner will be happy to 'let you in on the secret' and point them out to you!

  • Fabienne welcomes you with a huge smile and a bag full of memories of travels and encounters that she shares with passion. The bivouac site is secluded, near a stream and under fruit trees. No onlookers.

Thank you for a wonderful time.

  • My stay went very well! The place is really very pleasant! Fabienne is a very friendly person and very kind!
    Thank you for this experience

  • Perfect stay
Fabienne is a beautiful person who breathes beautiful energy into the place she proposes.
The site is very beautiful and conforms to the description.
Concerning the ground, I had read a comment which said that it was necessary to have big mattresses, for my part a mattress of treck (not very thick) was enough to make me spend beautiful night.
    I highly recommend it.
I'm looking forward to coming back to the region and to Fabienne's place, which is really well run.

  • Fabienne welcomed us very well in a bucolic setting, between a charming stream and an old farmhouse.
The only drawback was that our mattresses were too thin for the slightly bumpy ground.
