Description

Riverfront campsite away from it all in West Virginia.
Located on the Cacapon river which is WV’s cleanest, has renown smallmouth bass fishing and is perfect for tubing or kayaking.
This secluded campsites are a 2-5 minute walk (but steep on the way up) from the parking and include a camping toilet and privacy tent, a campfire grill, and most importantly river access. Serenity now!

The property is secluded with only our cabin but only 2 hrs to D. C. and Baltimore and 2.5 hours to Pittsburgh.

The setting

One campsite with two tent sites near each other on the riverfront in between mountains. Secluded piece of land on the Cacapon River.
Remote and quiet, but close to the river and the Stoney Creek Country store for food and provisions, and 20-25 minutes from Berkeley Springs!

We have a camping toilet with a rob at tent or a shovel for waste.
Please note that our guests must clean up the toilet before leaving & empty their waste. This can be done by digging or a trash bag.

Walk in trails to camp, swim, fish, or just hangout and enjoy nature.
Parking is up the hill (downhill to the campsite) and is a 2-5 minute walk to the sites and we have provided a gear wagon near the parking to help you carry.

The camp is very secluded.
You are the only site on the property and we only have one neighbor out of site from the camp.

There is a fire ring and grill to cook. Please make sure any fire is completely-no coals, no smoke-extinguished. This is extremely important and the main rule you have to follow.

Rules

Very remote, so do not expect cell service.

We are a leave no trace campsite. Please remove all waste, including from the camping toilet (or bury human waste), and clean the camping toilet before you leave.

All fires must be attended and completely extinguished-no coals, no smoke-when not attended.

Be cautious when parking and waking to the site. This is a remote location and not a car camp, so be careful when driving to the spot and put in proper footwear before walking to the site. The last part of the trail is quite steep.

We have provided a gear wagon. Please return and put cover back on when leaving.
