Description

Le jardin des merveilles extends over 3ha11, isolated but 5min walk from the village, surrounded by forest and large oak trees, not overlooked. The wild and the cultivated blend harmoniously and respectfully. Calm, natural, a nest of rest with magnificent flora and fauna. A return to nature and simplicity.

The setting

We're woken up by birds, chickens, cockerels and sometimes the neighbors' dogs ;) We live according to the rhythm of nature and the seasons. Hidden from view, only nature can see us. A rural footpath allows you to go for a walk and discover the magnificent green Perigord. Forests, rivers and ponds are everywhere nearby.

The spots

The garden is vast, with plenty of places to stay. Depending on your needs and feelings, you're sure to find something to suit you ;) In the sun, in the shade, under the trees, in the garden... The choice is yours!

The sanitary facilities

Here, everything is done with respect for Mother Earth, with commitment and participation. So, dry toilets, you can choose between solar shower with well water, cold shower with the irrigation system in place in the gardens (pipes and jets), or the classic conscious shower. Sanitary facilities are in the gardens and in a shared area available to all. No synthetic chemical products or products dangerous to the environment are allowed on the site (shower gel, shampoo, chemical washing-up liquid no thanks :)). Thank you for your investment and sensible conscience, and thank you for our Terre Mama nightlight.

The amenities

Sanitary facilities and kitchen are in a shared area available to all (stove, crockery, washing machine, fridge, freezer, food processors...). Ps: no kettle, microwave, toaster, I could explain why ;) You have everything you need to cook wonderful meals, with basic condiments at your disposal (please buy or leave some for others :)).
Water from the dishes is used to water the plants around the communal area. No synthetic chemical products or products dangerous to the environment are allowed on the site (shower gel, shampoo, washing-up liquid, no thanks :)). Smokers, please dispose of your cigarette butts in the garbage can. Waste is carefully sorted (bins available).
There are several places to connect to electricity if you need to (please let me know if this is really necessary). The idea is to be mindful of our consumption and our impact :). Power strips and extension cords are available, but reels are never too much!
Thank you for your understanding and common sense.

The activities

The green Perigord is full of great activities, discoveries and visits!!!! You'll be spoilt for choice :)

Other things

I have 5 cats and a dog who are very sociable and used to people coming and going. They are totally free, very happy and very cuddly. Please note that the entire garden is not fenced, so if you have a pet that runs away, please take precautions.

Rules

Please respect the neighborhood and other campers, and be aware of any possible noise or disturbance.
Smokers please take care of your cigarette butts and ask if the smoke bothers you.
For glass and other garbage on site, please participate in their removal ;)
Dear parents, please supervise your children so that they respect the site, the animals and nature, and warn them of where they are, such as watching out for crops and not touching the various, often dangerous, tools.
