Description

Large garden, being landscaped to make it more welcoming, Mandala of plants being planted. It's a peaceful place where nature is respected and biodiversity is abundant. I'm gradually building my autonomy, with intuition and creativity.

The setting

The garden is surrounded by meadows and woods, sunny and full of plants and trees. Not overlooked, secluded from the town, a little high up, nature is beautiful, gentle and rejuvenating.

The spots

There are different pitches, where everyone can have their privacy and enjoy the calm nature of the area. The garden is flat and surrounded by trees of varying sizes. Access is easy, but beware of rainy periods when the terrain can be difficult for vehicles. But there's a tractor to come to the rescue if you get stuck ;)

The sanitary facilities

In order to respect the preciousness of water, I'm not connected to the town water supply. I fetch water from springs, boreholes or my neighbors, depending on what I need, and therefore use jerry cans. For sanitary facilities, there are dry toilets and solar-powered showers. For hot water, if necessary, we heat it over a fire or on the gas stove. At Le Jardin des Merveilles, life is mainly lived outdoors and with respect for Mother Nature.

The amenities

The facilities are simple - you don't need much to be happy! Internet reception is very good, but there's no wifi to limit the waves, so it's best to use your cell phone to share the connection. There are outdoor facilities for washing up and eating. An outdoor kitchen is under construction... I have extension cords for electricity, with a solar autonomy system in the near future. The idea is to be as thrifty, reasonable and aware as possible of what we do and consume.

The activities

The Périgord Vert is full of beautiful things to discover. With its castles, forests, caves and ponds... You'll be able to spend many a day enjoying the local produce and crafts, as well as summer markets and festivals.

Rules

Thank you for respecting the site and nature, so please take care not to throw anything on the ground, sort your garbage and leave as little trace as possible of your passage, for the sake of the environment and future visitors. Please also respect the peaceful setting, by being respectful of each other with regard to noise, shouting and music, depending on the time of day.
