Description

You are welcome, in the countryside between Modena and Bologna! We will be happy to welcome you! Ours is a private home, we are not for profit, but for sharing, the fees set therefore are the contribution to our family for the use of electricity, water, gas and the maintenance of the space. You can stay with your tent in the shade of walnut trees, among native hedges planted, as they once were, to mark boundaries and create a cozy space. Camper vans, caravans and minivans will be able to stand on concrete pavers, with a garden beside them to relax and eat in peace. Table and benches, the use of a shared kitchenette with refrigerator, bathroom with shower, washing machine ( contribution of €2.50 per wash) sandbox and swing for the little ones, table tennis, bookcrossing for reading and taking/donating a book, board games,
a small library for young and old, the large porch in which to find shelter. Extra weekly activities you can sign up for: yoga, pilates, meditation, cultural meetings.
We are located near the Ciclovia del Sole, which connects Verona to Bologna, easily reached, via country roads.
In the village of Manzolino, 1.5 km from the house, there is a grocery store, pharmacy, newsstand, baker, post office, tobacco shop.

The setting

You can pitch your tent on the lawn, under walnut trees and among native hedges. For campers, caravans and minivans there is a dedicated space on an area with concrete self-blocking, adjacent to the garden. The typical country environment with the passing of the seasons and the work of farmers will interest children: the chickens in the chicken coop, the hares and pheasants crossing the lawn in the evening and early morning.

The spots

The space is vast: level, grassy and walnut-shaded for tents, level and on self-striping for campers, caravans and minivans, also for them with adjacent garden. Convenient light connection in both spaces.

The amenities

Possibility of wired or wifi internet (we turn it on upon request), kitchenette with dishes and pots and pans, electric kettle, mocha, coffee and produce from our garden and countryside to buy fresh, electricity both in the kitchen and outside with extension cord if needed. Shelter for bicycles.

The activities

A small room is available for meditation, yoga or gymnastics. For birdwatchers, a half-hour walk will take you to the Manzolino Wildlife Oasis. Motor Valley, for car and motorcycle enthusiasts, is here: the nearby Pagani car museum, the Casa Ferrari museum in Modena, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Ducati! You can taste the typical tortellino in Castelfranco's restaurants or take a trip to Spilamberto, home of traditional Modena vinegar, or to Castelvetro, where Lambrusco Grasparossa is born. On request and by prior arrangement, you can visit a local roastery of excellent organic coffee, and you can purchase wines and derivatives from local grapes from an organic farm near us. From the Castelfranco Emilia train station (a ten-minute drive from our home) you can go to Modena and Bologna. At the Saturday afternoon market in Castelfranco you can buy fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and typical organic and quality products! In Modena, Pavarotti's House Museum will let you relive the history of the famous tenor.

Rules

Our place growing with us, with respect, care and attention to flowers, plants, what we provide: kindness to the environment! For smokers: you must get a container in which to leave ashes and cigarettes, without scattering them on the lawn. Smoking is not allowed inside the house or outside near the house, but only at a certain distance. Garbage will find a place in the appropriate containers. Parents will take care to check that children do not endanger themselves by getting too close to tools and machinery used in the countryside. Care will also be taken to respect silence as in any other living situation.

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

Breakfast can be sweet and savory and may include: cakes, bread with butter and jam, fruit, cookies, strudel, focaccia, pizza, piadina,
yogurt with cereal, fruit. Tea, herbal teas, coffee, milk (including vegetable milk).
We prefer products from our garden, local and organic.

  • A wonderful and loving pitch. The family warmly welcomes you into their home.
    There is plenty of space for the children to run around, a table tennis table and a playground. Breakfast is discussed the evening before...the children wanted crepes...and so the next day we had wonderful homemade crepes. There is a bathroom and a small kitchen with a table. Simply a perfect place with a perfect hostess! Grazie!!!
