Located on the site of a former Templar commandery dating back to the 12th century, La Guionie was once the stronghold of the Béron, Normand and Sirac families. The current buildings were rebuilt during the early part of Louis XIV's reign, around (phone number hidden), after being altered and burnt down during the Wars of Religion in 1569.
